Our individualized inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services help patients to become as independent and mobile as possible. Orthopedic rehab If an injury or health condition impacts your bones, joints, tendons, cartilage, muscles or ligaments, your orthopedic doctor may prescribe orthopedic rehab. Orthopedic rehab may help patients: ➜ Safely return to as much of their daily routine as possible. ➜ Increase muscle and joint function. ➜ Gain mobility and strength. ➜ Learn to use assistive equipment and adaptive techniques, as needed. The CVMC Rehab and Outpatient Therapy Center Rehabilitative Services Department is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. plan can help patients who have been diagnosed with a stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, balance disorder, orthopedic condition or neurological disorder by: ➜ Reducing pain. ➜ Increasing range of motion. ➜ Developing strength. ➜ Improving balance and coordination. ➜ Preventing further disability. ➜ Improving quality of life and developing new strategies to cope with a permanent disability.
